One pedestrian was struck and killed by a car early Sunday morning in Horry County, according to the South Carolina Highway Patrol.
The pedestrian was walking on the roadway on U.S. 701 at S.C. 22 in Conway around 5 a.m., when a 2012 Mazda traveling northbound on U.S. 701 struck the pedestrian, according to the SCHP.
The driver of the Mazda is 38-years-old and received no injuries.
The incident is still under investigation.
