• Headquartered in North Palm Beach, Fla., BurgerFi is one of the nation’s fastest growing all-natural burger concepts and a new location is coming to North Myrtle Beach. BurgerFi dedicates itself to dishing up burgers that are always fresh and made-to-order. Menu items include burgers, hot dogs, fries, onion rings, shakes, beer and wine. BurgerFi serves all-natural beef in a hip, environmentally-friendly atmosphere that features chairs made from recycled Coca-Cola bottles, tables made out of compressed recycled wood, and large fans that use 66 percent less electricity than nine small ceiling fans combined. The new store, which is scheduled to open in July, is located at 801 Main Street in North Myrtle Beach. The restaurant is hiring line cooks, servers, bartenders and other key employees 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Saturday at the North Myrtle Beach location.
• The Kilted Caddy Club & Café has taken over Azalea Sands Golf Club to bring fun, food and a new experience in Grand Strand golfing. The Tilted Caddy is following along the lines of restaurant chains such as Tilted Kilt, Twin Peaks and Hooters. The bar, restaurant and lounge areas open seven days a week at 7 a.m. and remains open until at least 10 nightly serving breakfast sandwiches, club sandwiches, burgers, wings, salads and alcohol. The Kilted Caddy Club & Café offers 50 percent discount on champagne every Wednesday and has a newly renovated patio that can be opened or closed which includes a grill, fire pit in a sandbox and a stage for bands to play throughout the summer. The bar also has televisions and is working on getting some on the patio. The Kilted Caddy and Café is located at 2100 U.S. 17, North Myrtle Beach and can be reached by calling 485-0001
• For years Barbara Whitley, proprietor and master baker of Crady’s Electic Cuisine in downtown Conway, has been teaching cooking classes. On July 29, Crady’s Eclectic Cuisine will introduce Cooking for Kids, the first in what could be a series of hands-on classes. From 5:30 p.m. to approximately 7 p.m., aspiring young bakers will don aprons and learn first-hand how much fun baking can be. While adults will be welcome, the focus will be on children. The event will be held at 332 Main Street, Conway and will cost $50 per person, which includes supplies and dinner. Reservations are necessary and a minimum of 10 participants is required. • The Oasis Plaza unit that was once home to Twelve at 2520 U.S. 17 in Garden City Beach now has a sign on the door that says hiring is underway for the new Blue Elephant N Thai tapas lounge. No word yet on when the doors will open but resumes are being accepted for experienced servers, kitchen help, bartenders and a bar manager by sending an e-mail to firstname.lastname@example.org.
