BARTENDER | Ryan Holliday, 34
WHERE | Divine Prime
Any relation to Doc Holliday? Yes, supposedly. That's what my father told me, but I never confirmed it.
So are you a good gambler and gunfighter? I'm a good gambler. I don't own any guns.
What's your game of choice? Texas Hold 'em. I used to play poker for a living.
What's it like to gamble for a living? You need a lot of patience.
Do you wear sunglasses when you play? No. Only blind people and assholes wear sunglasses inside.
How about people who wear sunglasses at night? I don't know...I've done that before.
Any tips to novice Texas Hold 'em players out there? If you want to take it seriously, treat it like a business.
Do you have any good luck charms or superstitious habits? No, there's no room for that in a game.
What's the longest time you've ever sat continuously at a poker table?I played online for 36 hours straight. The longest I sat at casino poker tables was an 18-hour day...six hours at one table and 12 hours at another.
Do you count cards? No.
Do you know how to count cards? Not yet.
Do you know how to hold aces up your sleeve? I don't cheat in cards.
How about in a relationship? Not anymore.
Do you suppose you could beat Doc Holliday in cards? Yep. He's a cool guy... he'd take the loss and wouldn't shoot me.
