BARTENDER | Brittany Lynne Birchard, 26
WHERE | Filets
Aside from the Myrtle Beach area, name the top three best places you've bartended.Nick and Johnnie's Patio Bar and Grill (Palm Beach, Fla.), E.R. Bradley's (West Palm Beach, Fla.) and Larry Flynt’s Hustler Club (Bourbon Street, New Orleans)... Bar tending of course.
How do they compare to bartending along the Grand Strand? Working here on the Grand Strand provides me more of a family-style atmosphere. A lot of my regulars are as close to me as family and I enjoy seeing them on the daily.
What's the best part about making fancy cocktails? You really have to put your heart into fancy cocktails. Watching someone enjoy what you have put together is the best part.
What's the most challenging part about making fancy cocktails? Very time consuming, especially in the middle of the dinner rush.
Could you out-bartend Tom Cruise in the movie “Cocktail?” Ha! I would be lying if I said I could. It sure would be entertaining to watch me try.
Where was your best vacation ? I haven't been on many, so I would have to go with the cruise I took with my family to Key West and Cozumel. It was a blast.
Have you ever had a spring fling? Spring flings are not my thing.
Do you think a one-night stand could ever result in marriage? Stranger things have happened I guess. Anything is possible.
Do you think people come to Myrtle Beach to find love, or to get away from a love-gone-bad? I've been a witness to both... It could really go either way.
What's your favorite way to enjoy time with friends and/or family? I can't really single it out to any specific way. Any time spent with my loved ones is a blessing.
If you had 72 hours to go do whatever you wanted, where would you be and what would you be doing? To be completely honest, I'm a tad OCD and love to clean. When I'm alone, I crank up the music and me and Mr. Clean go to town.
