THE LOCALE | Watering Hole Saloon and Grill

THE LOWDOWN | Bikers have a new locale to check out this year during bike week - and beyond. The Watering Hole Saloon and Grill in Garden City Beach is open and ready to welcome bikers, and everyone, for that matter. That's where we went for happy hour this week.

You'll find the Watering Hole Saloon and Grill on U.S. 17 South in Garden City Beach where Backfinz Maryland Style Crab House used to be located. Inside there's a large square bar that seats about twenty. Patrons can also sit at a number of high and low-top tables that are scattered around the joint.

You'll see some sports garb on the walls, as well as flags... An American flag, South Carolina flag, Philadelphia Eagles flag and Baltimore Ravens flag, to name a few. Beer signs and license plates also make up the decor.

On weekends, live bands play on a small stage in the corner. Billiards fans can take advantage of the two pool tables and join in on American Poolplayers Association tournaments.

Happy hour runs from 4 to 7 p.m. Mondays through Saturdays. (Watering Hole Saloon and Grill is closed on Sundays.) Food specials include 50-cent wings and a cheeseburger plate for less than seven bucks. Drink deals include $2 domestic draft beers, $2 domestic bottles and $1 cans of PBR (Pabst Blue Ribbon).

TIPS | Bike Week live entertainment line up includes the 69 Band on Friday.
