High Steppin’ revue thrice weekly
The “High Steppin’ Country” musical revue has opened for its 38th summer, with shows for the public at 8:30 p.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays through Aug. 14 and every Saturday through Aug. 30.
The two-hour show, including an intermission, comprises new and old country music, gospel, patriotic fare, a special children’s number, and a 1980s section, all in Lakewood Camping Resort’s Theater by the Sea, 5901 S. Kings Highway, between Myrtle Beach and Surfside Beach, about a mile north of S.C. 544.
Doors open at 8 p.m. Guests from outside Lakewood are asked to park by conference center and catch a shuttle, operating 6-11 p.m., to the oceanside venue.
Tickets are $10 ages 13 and older, $5 ages 3-12, and free ages 2 and younger. Details at 447-7359.

Home stretch for Bass Pro Shops’ camp
Bass Pro Shops, at Myrtle Beach mall, on U.S. 17 at S.C. 22, near Briarcliffe Acres, enters the home stretch for its “Family Summer Camp,” through July 13, in 20-minute workshops on various topics, and children receive a free lanyard, and while supplies last, earn a free, collectible pin for finding all answers in a scavenger hunt after each workshop completed.

‘Sailing Life’ art show at Sunset River
Summer really is sailing at Sunset River Marketplace art gallery in Calabash, N.C. “The Sailing Life” group show lasts through July 30 with these artists by medium:

Herb Reith solo exhibit at CCU
Coastal Carolina University’s Rebecca Randall Bryan Art Gallery, in the Edwards College of Humanities and Fine Arts, on the main campus in Conway, keeps the exhibits rolling all year long, even during summer break.
The “Herb Reith: Solo Exhibition,” opens Monday, going through Aug. 7, with mixed media contemporary art described as exploring “notions of notions of repair, material significance and disjuncture.”
