Riverfest in Conway
The Conway Chamber of Commerce’s Riverfest has a boatload of activities downtown, such as a golf-cart parade in patriotic colors, 11:15 a.m.; entertainment including The Spots at 4:30 p.m. on Marina Drive, and Eagles and Lynyrd Skynyrd tribute bands at 7:15 and 9:30 p.m., respectively, in Riverfront Park; and a Patriotic Lighted Boat Parade, 8:30 p.m. on the Waccamaw River. ‘Festa Ialiana’ begins
The Sons of Italy Myrtle Beach Lodge 2662 of Socastee has its annual “Festa Italiana,” or Italian Festival, including Larry Tanelli, master of ceremonies and host of music trivia, with such performers as Sister Act’s “History of Women’s Music Extravaganza” and Dale Mosher’s tribute to Italian singers, as well as a display of Ferraris and Maseratis. Festival in Plantersville
The 10th annual Plantersville Heritage Festival, benefiting Plantersville Summer Academy, starts at 4 p.m. and includes water inflatable slides for youth opening at 4:15 with parental supervision (bring towels), bingo for adults at 4:30, a food court at 4:45, music at 5:30 by Reggae Infinity of Columbia and the Jazzy Ladies Soul Line Dancers of Georgetown, and at dusk, fireworks.
