Appalachian exhibition

The exhibit “Appalachian Ballads,” more than a dozen artworks by a native Briton from Asheville, N.C., opens with an artist reception, with Appalachian music performed by Greg and Lucretia Speas. The exhibit then remains on display through March 16. Also, this is the final day for “The Opulent Object: Tapestries by Jon Riis with Sculpture by Richard Mafong and Mike Harrison.” Details at 238-2510 or www.myrtlebeachartmuseum.org.
