Art exhibits in final days
The Franklin G. Burroughs-Simeon B. Chapin Art Museum, where the new year will begin with “Julyan Davis: Appalachian Ballads,” paintings by a native Briton from Asheville, N.C., on Jan. 5 and “FiberArt International 2013,” Jan. 19, has three fall exhibits about to bid farewell:
Find the museum, open 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Tuesdays-Saturdays and 1-4 p.m. Sundays – but closed Dec. 31 and Jan. 1 – at 3100 S. Ocean Blvd., Myrtle Beach, across from Midway Par 3. Admission is free, but donations are appreciated.

Festival of Trees to finish
The annual “Festival of Trees,” with 55 decorated Christmas trees, honoring every U.S. state and territory, will wrap up Dec. 31 at Ripley’s Aquarium, at Broadway at the Beach, on 29th Avenue North in Myrtle Beach.
The site’s open 9 a.m. daily, until 8 p.m. Saturdays-Sundays, and 7 p.m. Sundays-Thursdays.
The fest, including a two-page scavenger hunt, is free with admission – Prices until 11 a.m.: $22.99 ages 12 and older, $12.99 ages 6-11, and $4.99 ages 2-5; 11 a.m.-5 p.m.: $23.99, $14.99, and $5.99, respectively; and 5 p.m. until closing: $21.99, $11.99 and $4.99 and younger.
