Turtle exclusion device demonstrated at park
Mike Arendt, a S.C. Department of Natural Resources marine biologist, will give a turtle bycatch reduction device workshop, welcoming commercial and recreational crabbers to help them evaluate this new means that aims to lessen the number of diamondback terrapins trapped and killed in crab pots from drowning.
