Well another year has come to an end on the LPGA Tour. A lot of goals were met and a lot were left to reach in 2011.
September didn't offer a whole lot of golf on the LPGA Tour, but nonetheless, I was still busy as usual.
Well, I finally played some good golf this year. I finished tied for second last week at the CN Canadian Open. What a relief to have a good solid tournament and play golf like it's supposed to be played.
I have the best office in the world and the best boss in the world (that's me). It's pretty amazing to get to make a living playing a game that I love. Golf has made it possible to "live the life," but sometimes life is more important.
So we are finally getting into a swing of things out on tour. I just got home from a redeye flight from Brazil, which was the third event of three in a row.
I am now going to enjoy a week off in hot, sunny Florida and get ready for my next swing of five straight events, ending with the U.S. Open. This is the stretch of the season that I have really been looking forward to. I have been waiting to get in a rhythm with tournaments.Boy, what a busy month! It is clear that the season is definitely under way. I am lucky to be writing this in my own living room, which is the first time home in seven weeks.
I have just wrapped up a two-week stop in California, playing last week in San Diego at La Costa and this week the Kraft Nabisco in Palm Springs.
The first two events of the 2010 season are under our belt and it sure is good to be Ai Miyazato. Ai took home the trophy in Thailand and in Singapore. The first time a player has won the first two events of the season since 1966. Pretty impressive, Ai.
Let me start off by saying, No, I do not know where Tiger Woods is. That seems to be the first question I get from anyone who knows I play golf.
Boy it has been a busy month.
I'm sitting here in Palm Springs, Calif., getting ready for the first major of the year, the Kraft Nabisco Championship. Not only is this the first major of the year, this is my first Kraft. I've played the last two weeks in Mexico City and Phoenix, trying to get prepared for this week.
