New South to open a can on ya
Locals know the connection between the Grand Strand, Canada, and beer. Oceans of beer are consumed here, by locals and visitors alike, and innumerable Canadians visit here. So its only appropriate to quote the late Canadian novelist Hugh Hood, who once wrote, Nothing ever tasted any better than a cold beer on a beautiful afternoon with nothing to look forward to but more of the same. This column is devoted to beers that might just lift a beautiful afternoon into perfection.
