LOS ANGELES - Although they're just co-stars in the new tear-jerker romance "The Vow," if you didn't know any better it'd be easy to think Channing Tatum and Rachel McAdams are an old married couple.
The actors laugh at each others jokes, finish each other's sentences and compliment each other like a couple who have been together longer than the weeks it takes to make a movie.
That chemistry helps sell the story of a woman who emerges from a coma with no memory of her marriage. It's up to her husband to find a way to restore those memories.

Watching TV is different experience today

How we watch television keeps changing. It's not only that people are recording shows for viewing later. It's that they can call up the shows from on-demand channels, or watch them on their laptops, phones or tablets. Even the Super Bowl is available as live, streaming video to computers and selected phones.
And our viewing opportunity does not end there. Beyond the shows that have broadcast or cable bases, there is the array of created-for-online video, from big-name productions like the sketches on the Funny Or Die website to the bazillions of cat videos on YouTube.
When I might have been watching one of the hundreds of TV channels I get on cable, I have at times turned to the Internet instead, seeking a live feed from a University of Akron soccer game; even when the video was crude and the audio nonexistent, it was something I wanted to see and was not going to get from a traditional TV service. More often, like many people, my wife and I have sat in front of a program on our big-screen TV set while watching other things on our respective laptops.

Rapper 50 Cent is teaming up with the World Food Program to see firsthand the effects of hunger in Somalia and Kenya.
The rap star flew to Dolo, Somalia, on Wednesday. Tens of thousands of women and children have fled there over the last year to flee a devastating famine that killed tens of thousands of people across Somalia.
WFP said the rapper, whose real name is Curtis Jackson, has committed to provide 1 billion meals for the hungry, and is donating to WFP 10 cents from every sale of a new energy drink called Street King that he is promoting.

When it comes to driving a speedboat, Robert Pattinson is not nearly as suave as vampire Edward Cullen. And you might think Kristen Stewart is no dummy, but she is, at least in some scenes.
That's just some of what we learned from the extras on the "Twilight: Breaking Dawn - Part 1" DVD, coming out Saturday:
"I went for a lesson and crashed the practice boat," Pattinson admits, sheepishly, when explaining his prep for his character's honeymoon jaunt with his bride. "And then I went to Brazil and crashed the Brazilian boat, too. I am definitely not nautical."

"The Vow" is like a Nicholas Sparks novel with a dash of wit, a hint of edge and a smidgen less sap. It's a romance in "The Notebook" tradition - "inspired by true events" and scripted by committee. But as such concoctions go, it's not half bad.
Not that there aren't bad, insipid things about it. Start with the narration, and the narrator, Leo, played by Channing Tatum with as much lovesick charm as he can muster. Leo blathers on about "moments of impact" that "turn our lives upside down" and "define who we are." The movie he introduces with that assertion doesn't have much to do with "moments," though. It just sounded good. Well, maybe coming out of someone else's mouth.
Leo's remembering the all-consuming love he shared with Paige, played by the always winsome Rachel McAdams. Leo has to remember, because Paige, as we learn 15 minutes into the film, has lost her memory in a snowy car accident. Not all of it - just the last five years, her years with Leo.

She squared off against former Beatle Paul McCartney in divorce court; on Thursday, Heather Mills took on Piers Morgan at Britain's media ethics inquiry.
The ex-model trashed Morgan's earlier testimony, saying that one of her private voicemails, which was played to the CNN interviewer and former tabloid editor, could have been obtained only through phone hacking.
Mills spoke under oath at Lord Justice Brian Leveson's inquiry into the practices of Britain's scandal-hit press, and said two dozen messages left for her by the former Beatle were intercepted by a journalist working for British newspaper group Trinity Mirror.

Jersey City taxpayers won't be footing the bill for police assigned to security for the women of "Jersey Shore" and all the attention that comes with them.
New Jersey's second largest city has issued a permit to producers to film a spinoff of the reality series, featuring Nicole "Snooki" Polizzi and Jenni "JWoww" Farley. Filming is expected to begin later this month in the city's Grove Street Path neighborhood.
Police spokesman Edgar Martinez said Thursday the production company in charge of the show will pay for off-duty police officers to provide security and will pay for any additional officers if they are needed. In addition, he said, the production crew won't be taking parking spots from residents but will use pay lots.

take care not to be too Spartan or you will never stick to your

special occasions. A current intellectual pursuit will lead to
