All season, junior relievers Aaron Burke and Ryan Connolly have essentially been trying to one-up each other – in terms of appearances, performances, whatever.
Coastal Carolina’s Erica Peake on Saturday narrowly missed out on advancing to the NCAA championship meet in the 200 meters, running 23.59 in the quarterfinals to finish 14th, two spots shy of qualifying.
These aren’t the Coastal Carolina Chanticleers of years past who could lean on dominant starting pitching, or who could overpower opponents with a stacked offensive lineup. But these Chants have found their way nonetheless.
