Socastee’s Rendon scores team’s first goal in World Lacrosse Championships

From staff reportsJuly 12, 2014

The Colombian national team has had a rough go of things so far in the World Lacrosse Championships, but Socastee’s Jiovany Rendon scored his team’s first goal of the global tournament.

His goal came in the ninth minute, assisted by Timothy Drumtra, and cut Spain’s lead to 2-1 at the time. His team scored another goal, but eventually fell 16-2.

Rendon and his Colombian teammates face off against Mexico on Sunday at Noon, in what will likely be their final game of the tournament.
