New Myrtle Beach furniture store a template to franchise

A group of Greensboro, N.C., investors have opened America’s Furniture Warehouse on U.S. 17 Bypass near Myrtle Beach International Airport.

The 40,000-square-foot store is in a building formerly occupied by Room Store, a chain that went bankrupt about three years ago, said Brandon Weinberg, sales manager for America’s Furniture Warehouse.

Weinberg said the owners, who also own American Furniture Warehouse in Greensboro, hope to use the new Myrtle Beach store as a template for a franchise operation.
