Myrtle Beach police are looking for three suspects who officers said targeted J1 visa students in a home invasion that involved up to seven people, according to a report.

Officers were called about 5 a.m. Monday to 510 32nd Ave. N., for the home invasion, police said.

Officers learned from a 21-year-old woman, a 22-year-old woman and a 22-year-old man that three men used a crowbar to come into their apartment and pointed a gun at them, according to the report. The other victims were inside another apartment and it was unclear how they were involved.

Police also noted there was a language barrier with the victims.

The victims said the men ordered them into a corner of the apartment, but the 22-year-old woman didn’t move right away, so one of the men took the gun and hit her in the forehead, according to the report. Officers noted they did not see any signs of injury on the victim.

The victims said the men had socks on their hands and used towels to rummage through the cabinets and apartment, according to the report. The victims said the men passed the handgun to each other during the incident before the men left.

The victims reported cash, their wallets, identification cards and passports, financial cards, a paycheck and camera were taken during the incident.

Police released sketches of two of the three suspects wanted in connection with the incident Tuesday afternoon. One suspect is described as a 16- to 20-year-old man standing about 5’5” and weighing 150 pounds. Police said the second male suspect is between 18 and 20 years old, with a neatly trimmed full beard and mustache and bluish-gray eyes. He is believed to be 5’10” and weighs 180 pounds.

Police said the third suspect is 18 to 20 years old, stands at 5’9” and weighs 150 pounds with short hair.

The suspects are considered armed and dangerous. Anyone with information on the suspects or the incident can call Myrtle Beach police by dialing 918-1382, reference case No. 1416234.
