Coke Zero 400 postponed til Sunday

July 5, 2014

Steady rain at Daytona International Speedway forced officials to delay the start of the Coke Zero 400 until 11 a.m. ET Sunday.

The race was scheduled to begin at 7:57 p.m. Saturday, but at 9 p.m. local radar showed no breaks in the clouds, and NASCAR postponed the race until Sunday. The new start time is scheduled for 11 a.m. Sunday.

Some drivers, including rookies Alex Bowman and Ryan Truex gave fans at least something to cheer on Sunday, as they turned the driver introduction stage into a slip-and-slide.
