Coastal Carolina University has extended its application deadline for the Specialist in Education (Ed.S.) program at the Spadoni College of Education until July 23.

The program begins this fall and will provide advanced graduate work for educators interested in district level leadership positions or in updating their professional skills. Its focus is on curriculum, instruction, management, personnel, finance, school law and public relations in high-achieving school districts and the impact they have on student achievement.

It is expected that students who complete the Ed.S. program will qualify for licensure as a S.C. school superintendent and will be prepared for other key leadership positions in school systems, such as assistant superintendents, professional development specialists and program directors.
