UPDATE: Loris and Mullins women dead following S.C. 19 collision Friday night

Two people are dead following a two-vehicle collision Friday night.

Cassandra McAllister-Smith, 44, Loris, was driving a 1996 Chevy Tahoe was traveling north on S.C. 19 as Leah Buffkin, 22, Mullins, the driver of a 2004 Ford Explorer, was traveling south, according to the S.C. Highway Patrol. Police said Buffkin crossed the center line and struck the Tahoe.

Both McAllister-Smith and Buffkin were pronounced dead at the scene of internal injuries.
