Horry County emergency crews ended a search of the Intracoastal Waterway near Robert Grissom Parkway following a report that someone may have jumped from a bridge into the water.

Police on scene said someone reported hearing a large splash but did not actually see anyone jump.

Horry County Fire Rescue initially responded about 4:50 p.m. Friday and left about 5:30 p.m. when searches proved negative, said agency spokesman Brian VanAernem.
