Conway man tells police he was beaten over stolen laptop

Posted on June 13, 2014

A Conway man told police he was beaten and stabbed this week by a group of men angry over a stolen laptop.

The man said he was at his house in Conway when a neighbor on Hemingway Street asked him to come over where he and a group of men were standing, according to police reports.

Once there, the man claims the suspect confronted him about a stolen laptop to which he denied any knowledge. The victim claims he was hit in the face and the group began to assault him.

The victim didn’t see which of the men stabbed him, but went home after the attack. His family convinced him to go to the hospital, where police took his statement.
