Myrtle Beach man tells police he doesn’t want them involved after robbery, assault

A 39-year-old man told Myrtle Beach police he was assaulted and robbed at gunpoint Wednesday in the city, according to a police report.

The victim was being treated at Conway Medical Center’s emergency room when Myrtle Beach police were called to the hospital for the incident.

The victim told police he was assaulted and robbed at gunpoint between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. Wednesday in the area of Futrell Park, according to the report. The victim said he did not want the police involved in the matter.

A nurse told police the victim came into the hospital about 1 p.m. Wednesday on his own, according to the report. No other details were listed in the report.
