Georgetown County deputies late Wednesday announced they captured a man they earlier had asked the public's help in locating. Police sought Francis Brian Stalvey on charges of first-degree burglary and attempted murder. Deputies said he broke into an occupied home and shot at the resident inside Wednesday, said agency spokeswoman Carrie Cuthbertson. Cuthbertson said the incident occurred around 4 p.m. Wednesday at a home on Williams Hill Road. She said the occupant of the house retrieved a handgun and returned fire causing Stalvey to flee in a white pickup truck. A motive was not released and police did not identify the relationship between Stalvey and the victim.
