Horry County | Horry County Schools teacher wins school board’s District 2

June 10, 2014

Todd

Horry County School Board, District 2

With 100 percent of precincts reporting

Sherrie Todd | 996

Karen McIlrath | 909

What it means | Todd must retire after 33 years of teaching to join the board and faces no opposition in the fall. She wants the district’s building priorities to begin with the overcrowded and older schools, and to make sure money is not wasted as each school is built.

What they said | “I don’t stop, I don’t slow down,” Todd said. “We need new schools, and we need to stop talking about it and get something done.”
