Newsmakers | Waccamaw Community Foundation awards four scholarships

David Bishop, president and interim executive director of the Waccamaw Community Foundation, has announced the winners of the 2014 Draughn Family Fund Scholarships. The awards were presented at North Myrtle Beach High School on May 22.

Scholarships totaling $5,000 were awarded to Meghan Leah Bellamy, Courtney Rowles, Sloane Siler and Najwa Edge. All four students plan to attend Coastal Carolina University in the fall.

This was the 10th year the Waccamaw Foundation has made these scholarships available to graduating seniors at North Myrtle Beach High School. For additional details, go to or call 357-4483.
