Georgetown County police search for clues in assault

— Georgetown County police are looking for information on an assault that occurred at 3 a.m. Saturday in the Pee Dee Community.

Deputies responded to 965 Cohen Drive to the report of an assault on a male victim, according to a press release. Once on scene, sheriff’s deputies located the victim who had blood on his head and shirt. The victim was transported to Grand Strand Hospital. His condition was not available Saturday.

Sheriff’s deputies canvassed the area for people believed to be involved in the reported crime, but made no arrests.

Anyone that has any information on the suspect or the assault is asked to contact the Georgetown County Sheriff’s Office at 546-5101.
