Georgetown County deputies investigating credit card fraud

The Georgetown County Sheriff’s Office is trying to identify a suspect wanted in connection with a credit card fraud, said agency spokeswoman Carrie Cuthbertson.

She said a male suspect entered the Food Lion at 9380 Ocean Highway in the Pawleys Island community and completed a credit card transaction with a counterfeit card.

Anyone with information can call investigator John Magann at 436-6053 during office hours, or the Georgetown County Sheriff’s Office after hours at 546-5101.

Anonymous tips can be sent by texting “GCSOTIP” followed by the message to 274637.
