Two arrested, children removed in meth lab bust in Little River area

Horry County Fire Rescue officials confirmed that an active shake and bake meth lab was found Wednesday in the Little River area.

Authorities said a man and woman have been arrested related to the discovery and four children, ages four to nine, were taken from the home in the 3500 block of North Point Boulevard. The children are in S.C. Department of Social Services custody, according to authorities.

Brian VanAernem spokesman for Horry County Fire Rescue said firefighters were at the scene to assist officers from the 15th Circuit Drug Enforcement Unit.
