Several area players have success in Palmetto Tennis Championships

Myrtle Beach’s Rivers Cahill won a singles championship and was part of a winning doubles team at the Palmetto Tennis Championships held in the Anderson area.

Cahill won 10 singles division and teamed with Haris Luba of Hilton Head Island to win the doubles championship.

Myrtle Beach’s Kyle Barr teamed with Matthew Mendez of Hilton Head Island to win the boys 18 doubles championship and placed third in the age group’s singles division. Myrtle Beach’s Jeffrey Dayton teamed with Mark Carnes of Clemson to win the 16 doubles title and was runner-up in the age group’s singles finals.

Myrtle Beach’s Carson Duerk won the 10 boys singles consolation division.

In girls action, Myrtle Beach’s Robin Alston placed third in the 12 age group, while Myrtle Beach’s Elizabeth Truluck took fourth in the 14 division.
