Ride the Swamp Fox

Family Kingdom Amusement Park in Myrtle Beach, with more than 35 rides – including the Swamp Fox wooden roller coaster, first built in 1966, and two rides purchased from the former Freestyle Music Park – has begun its 2014 season. Details at 626-3447.

Ocean Blvd., admission is free, and wristbands for all ages – which do not include go-carts and zip lines – are $26.95 plus tax (or $15.50 total for local residents with ID, sold only in the office under the Swamp Fox), and individual ride tickets cost $1.05 plus tax each, with 2-6 tickets per ride, or in packages of 26 tickets for $25, or 54 for $50, each plus tax.
