Crash on U.S. 501 near Myrtle Beach causing delays

A crash in the northbound lanes of U.S. 501 near Myrtle Beach has two lanes of the highway closed, according to the S.C. Department of Transportation.

The crash was reported about 7 a.m. and is located 1.3 miles north of U.S. 17 Bypass on U.S. 501, according to authorities.

It was unclear if anyone was hurt in the crash or how long traffic will be delayed in that area. Motorists should find an alternative route until Horry County emergency crews clear the area.
