Georgetown County Sheriff’s office asks help to find man in store robbery attempt

— Georgetown County Sheriff's Office is looking for help from the public in identifying a possible suspect in an armed robbery that occurred Friday at a business in the Murrells Inlet area.

Police said around 11:30 p.m. a man went into the business, which was not identified in an incident report, pointed what appeared to be a handgun at the

victim and demanded money. The armed man then fled the scene with an undisclosed amount of

cash in an unknown direction of travel, according to deputies.

Deputies said no one was injured.

Anyone that can identify the suspect or has any information about the robbery is urged to call

the Georgetown County Sheriff’s Office at (843) 546-5101.
