Conway man reports being robbed in grocery store parking lot

An 18-year-old Conway man told police he was robbed by a man who asked him for a dollar outside a grocery store, according to a police report.

The victim told officers that about 10 p.m. April 25 he was outside the Food Lion at 3240 Fourth Ave., when a man approached him and asked for directions to Carolina Forest and then asked for a dollar, police said.

The victim said he took out his cash and when he went to give the man a dollar, the man grabbed all his money, according to the report. The victim reported he had about $180.

The man walked to a nearby vehicle and he threatened to kill the victim and witnesses if they came toward him before the man got into the car and another person drove away, according to the report. No other details were listed in the report.
