American Red Cross volunteers deploy from Myrtle Beach to N.C. following tornados

American Red Cross volunteers from Myrtle Beach and Charleston are headed to eastern North Carolina where recovery efforts are underway following tornados last week.

Two volunteers from Myrtle Beach and one from Charleston are en route to Elizabeth City, N.C., according to Steven Hudson with the Lowcountry Chapter of the Red Cross.

Three tornados touched down in North Carolina Friday, according to the National Weather Service, damaging homes, injuring several and killing an 11-month old boy.
