Game recap | Alex Gonzalez allowed two runs on four hits and struck out four in 6 2/3 innings to earn his first professional win and Christopher Bostick went 3-for-5, doubled, homered and drove in three runs to lead the Pelicans. Bostick drove in a run in the first inning and hit a two-run homer in the ninth inning to give Myrtle Beach a three-run lead heading into the bottom of the ninth. The Pelicans’ Royce Bolinger had a three-hit game, his ninth multi-hit games in 20 starts this season. Jason Knapp struck out two in a perfect inning of relief and Keone Kela earned his league-lead-tying fifth save while striking out three in 1 1/3 innings to close it out. Wilmington left a man in scoring position in each of the final three innings.
