Both state parks open

Both area state parks are open every day of the year, including holidays, for walks, bicycling and nature and bird watching. Details at www.southcarolinaparks.com:

• Myrtle Beach State Park, on U.S. 17 Business, one mile south of Farrow Parkway/South Ocean Boulevard, across from Seagate Village; call 238-5325.

• Huntington Beach State Park, on U.S. 17 between Murrells Inlet and Litchfield Beach, across from Brookgreen Gardens; 237-4440.

Details | 6 a.m.-10 p.m. with same admission for each: $5 ages 16 and older, $3.25 S.C. seniors, $3 ages 6-15.

Brookgreen open later

Brookgreen Gardens, which opens at 9:30 a.m. daily, is open later every day in April, until 8 p.m. Details at 235-6000, 800-849-1931 or www.brookgreen.org.

Last bunny day at Bass

Easter activities reach their final day at Bass Pro Shops, with photos with Easter Bunny, 11 a.m.-4 p.m.; egg hunts for ages 2-10, 2-3 p.m.; and children’s crafts 1-4 p.m. Sunday, while supplies last. Details at 361-4800 or www.basspro.com

Music Fest finale

Compassion Music and The Wellness Council for South Carolina wrap up the seventh annual Earth Day Music Fest with music by with The Movement, as well as Bullfrog, Sai Collins, Greener Grass, Hunnilicious, Sideways Derby, and Treehouse! Ocean Blvd. – admission is free, and wristbands for all ages – which do not include go-carts and zip lines – are $26.95 plus tax (or $15.50 total for local residents with ID, sold only in the office under the Swamp Fox), and individual ride tickets cost $1.05 plus tax each, with 2-6 tickets per ride, or in packages of 26 tickets for $25, or 54 for $50, each plus tax.
