Rain likely Friday afternoon in Myrtle Beach

People in Myrtle Beach will wake up to temperatures in the mid 50s Friday with mostly cloudy skies turning to rain by the afternoon, according to forecasters with the National Weather Service in Wilmington, N.C.

Rain is likely starting around 3 p.m. with about an inch of accumulation expected Friday into Saturday.

Temperatures should reach the mid 60s by the time rain starts falling, but a 16mph northeast wind with gusts up to 20 mph are expected throughout the day.

The NWS said rain could continue through Easter Sunday.
