Horry County Schools names Support Staff Employee of the Year

— Marcus Bennett, custodian supervisor at Loris Elementary School, was named Horry County Schools’ Support Staff Employee of the Year at a reception Monday afternoon and was recognized at the Horry County school board meeting.

The award program recognizes outstanding achievement by an employee of the HCS regular support staff. Five finalists were chosen for personal interviews that determined the winner.

The other finalists were Victoria Sylvia, secretary at Black Water Middle School; Doris Bessent, secretary at North Myrtle Beach High School; Melody Adams, data quality clerk at Socastee Elementary School; and Wynnette Smith, secretary at St. James High School.
