Myrtle Beach chamber CEO named to federal panel

Brad Dean, CEO of the Myrtle Beach Area Chamber of Commerce, has been appointed to the Travel and Tourism Advisory Board of the U.S. commerce department, according to information from the Chamber.

The board, established in 2003, serves as in an advisory capacity to the Secretary of Commerce.

“Secretary (Penny) Pritzker and her team at the U.S. Department of Commerce understand the importance of tourism to the national economy,” Dean said in an email. “I look forward to working with them to help promote, protect and improve our tourism industry, both locally and nationally.”
