The “Wheel of Fortune” Wheelmobile will be at Horry-Georgetown Technical College’s Conway campus April 26-27 for a contestant search.

The event will be held outdoors in the quadrangle at the center of the campus, located at 2050 U.S. 501, said Mary Eaddy, HGTC spokeswoman. The game show’s team will hold three mock games each day – at 1 p.m., 2:30 p.m. and 4 p.m. – and each game will last about an hour.

Everyone who wants to participate in the auditions will be able to submit an application for the show, beginning one hour before each show begins. Applications will be selected at random, and the show’s team will choose about 12 to 14 contestants for a final round of auditions that will be held in the Southeast several months later, Eaddy said. The event will be held in the Burroughs and Chapin Auditorium if there is inclement weather.

The game show is hosted by Pat Sajak and Vanna White, who is a native of North Myrtle Beach. The show’s representatives have not released final details other than the event dates, but Eaddy said the show’s team will conduct the auditions, and she does not know if White will make an appearance.

“Wheel of Fortune” held a contestant search in March 2012 at Coastal Grand mall. North Myrtle Beach’s Candace Dewberry was chosen and appeared on the show that September.
