A 20-year-old Myrtle Beach man was arrested one day after being released from jail, records show.

Quinte Breon Tucker was released from J. Reuben Long Detention Center March 11. On March 12, police charged Tucker with first-degree burglary according to Myrtle Beach jail records.

Police responded about 9:45 p.m. Wednesday to a home on the 3200 block of North Ocean Boulevard for an alarm. The home appeared to be secure, police said, but Tucker was found on the side of the building wearing a black mask on his face, a black jacket, black gloves and a brown leather back pack.

Tucker was holding a silver machete-type sword in one hand and a large silver throwing star in the other, a report said.

Police watched Tucker hacking at a screen on a window before arresting him.
