Horry County Fire Rescue crews battled a house fire early Wednesday in the Forestbrook Road community, according to authorities.

Firefighters were called about 2:45 a.m. Wednesday to a two-story house on Loblolly Road and found a blaze on the second floor, according to Assistant Chief Justin Gibbins. Crews found the fire had spread to the attic space and asked for some additional help.

By 2:56 a.m. Gibbins reported that the fire was under control and crews were overhauling the home.

It was unclear if someone was home at the time of the fire or if there were any injuries reported. More information will be posted as it becomes available.
