Heather Elvis prayer vigil scheduled for weekend

troot@thesunnews.comMarch 11, 2014

A prayer vigil is scheduled for 6 p.m. Sunday for Heather Elvis at Peachtree Boat Landing, according to the Find Heather Elvis Facebook page.

Several similar vigils have been held for the 20-year-old, who was last seen the night of Dec. 17 and last heard from Dec. 18.

Elvis’ car was found Dec. 19 parked at the boat landing by an Horry County police officer and authorities have been searching for her since then.

Two people, Tammy Moorer, 41, and Sidney Moorer, 38, both of Myrtle Beach, are each charged with murder and kidnapping in Elvis’ case. Both remain jailed pending a bond hearing.

Anyone with information about the case can call Horry County police at 915-TIPS.
