Power outages reported in Pawleys Island, Garden City Beach areas

Santee Cooper officials are reporting that more than 1,800 people are without power in Horry and Georgetown counties Tuesday morning, according to the online outage tracker website.

There are 1,795 customers without power in the Pawleys Island area along Kings River Road between the Founders Club at Pawleys Island and Caledonia Golf and Fish Club, according to the site. That incident occurred at 8:17 a.m. Tuesday and power was estimated to be restored by 10 a.m.

In Horry County, officials reported that 31 customers were without power in Garden City Beach along Dogwood Drive between Atlantic and Cypress avenues, according to the site. That outage occurred at 5:34 a.m. Tuesday and did not have a restoration estimate.
