This is my best buddy Ripken (yes, name after Cal). He is 9 years old and has accompanied me from Maryland to Myrtle Beach. He loves to go outside once a day to prowl/roam and smell the roses. Ripken has been a very healthy cat.

As you can see he is a very alert, friendly, playful, energetic, raring to go and also a well-rested cat. That is when he’s not catnapping in a chair, on my lap or one of his special hiding places. He loves to cuddle in the morning, after waking me up, to let me know it’s time for his snacks. And in the evening after I have fed him his special dinner.

I tell him all the time I think he takes after me, after all we are both virgos. I never thought I could become attached to a cat, but in all seriousness he is a joy and more so than he looks in his photo. I love this guy!
