Police investigate mobile meth lab in parking lot of Conway area Lowes store

Two men were charged Tuesday following an investigation of a mobile methamphetamine lab in the parking lot of a home improvement store Monday evening in Conway, according to authorities.

Anthony Pulver, 21, and Michael Maffeo, 34, both of Myrtle Beach are charged with manufacturing or distributing methamphetamine and possession of less than one gram of meth or cocaine base, according to Horry County public records.

Both men were charged Tuesday and remain jailed pending bond hearings, jail records show.

Members of the 15th Judicial Circuit Drug Enforcement Unit were investigating the lab about 6:15 p.m. Monday in the parking lot of Lowes at 2310 U.S. 501 in Conway, said Lt. Selena Small with the Conway Police Department.

Conway police officers were assisting the DEU in the investigation.
