Just when the locals declare that any more winter should be illegal, the Horry Georgetown Homebuilders Association comes to the rescue with its annual home show that nudges the mind toward spring with exhibits and presentations on things such as gardening and relaxing in one kind of pool or another.

This year, the 34th Annual Home Show, which is co-sponsored by Santee Cooper, is scheduled for Feb. 21-23 at the Myrtle Beach Convention Center.

There will be more than 200 exhibitors and 16 different workshops and culinary demonstrations as well as a silent auction to benefit the Coastal Animal Rescue.

People under 15 years old will be admitted free. For the rest, there is a $5 charge for one day’s entrance or $10 that will you get you in all three days.
