Georgetown police investigate bank robbery

Georgetown police are offering $1,000 reward for information about a bank robbery Wednesday in the city.

Officers were called at 9:11 a.m. Wednesday to Anderson Brothers Bank on North Fraser Street in the city after two men armed with guns cam in and demanded money, police said. One man wore a red bandanna over his face while the other man wore a blue bandanna covering his face.

The robbers were in the bank for 40 seconds, and got away with an undisclosed amount of money, according to the Georgetown Police Department. The vehicle they were in was a tan Cadillac Deville with possibly a South Carolina tag.
