Horry County schedules special meeting for bike rally

The Horry County Public Safety Committee will have a special meeting at 6 p.m. Thursday in the Horry County Council chambers to educate the public on local county laws and expectations during the 2014 Bike Week Rallies.

Enforcement of the laws will also be a top discussion item, according to a press release issued by the county.

Anyone intending to request a special event permit and/or temporary vending permit from Horry County must attend this meeting. Temporary vending permits are issued 30-days prior to an event and more information can be viewed at www.horrycounty.org/VendorPermits.

Council chambers is located in the Horry County Government & Justice Center, 1301 Second Avenue in Conway.
